A material platform built for active surfaces
SolarPWRD uses adaptable perovskite formulations, deposition processes and functional layers to bring energy capabilities directly into products, structures and materials.
The essential idea
What is perovskite nanotechnology?
Perovskite describes a family of materials with a crystal structure that can be engineered for specific optical and electrical behavior. Their composition can be tuned to absorb light, transport charge and support other energy functions.
Unlike a conventional rigid solar module, these active materials can be deposited as thin layers. That makes it possible to work with flexible substrates, complex shapes and surfaces that already perform another role.

More of the sprectrum of light available
SolarPWRD is engineered for broad-spectrum light capture. The active material can be tuned to respond across a wider usable range than conventional silicon photovoltaic technology.
This is especially important for surfaces with changing orientation, variable light, complex geometry or limited available area.
From ultraviolet through visible and into near-infrared wavelengths
Why the platform matters
The same surface can do more
The long-term potential is not limited to choosing one function. Related material systems could allow generation, storage, thermal management and light to work together in new product architectures.
