Performance
A different scale of solar productivity
SolarPWRD is designed to improve the amount of energy produced, the time over which it is available and the range of surfaces that can participate.

Technology comparison
The difference is not limited to module efficiency. It affects productive hours, surface area, temperature performance, degradation, manufacturing and system economics.
| Decision metric | SolarPWRD perovskite | Conventional silicon PV benchmark |
|---|---|---|
Conversion efficiency | 60–65% | 12–18% |
Usable light response | Broad-spectrum capture | Narrower usable spectral response |
Maximum-production window | Up to 12 hours per day | Approximately 6 hours per day |
Area for 3,000 kWh per year | 3.8 m² | 16 m² |
Temperature-related efficiency loss | 0.001% per °C | 0.5% per °C |
Annual efficiency degradation | 0.01% | More than 0.5% |
Energy payback period | 1 year | 2–3 years |
Useful operating life | 40 years | 10–15 years |
Performance in a finished product depends on configuration, active area, encapsulation, substrate, controls, operating environment and test conditions. Conventional silicon also responds to visible and near-infrared light; the SolarPWRD advantage is broader usable spectral capture, not an ultraviolet-only silicon response.
Why performance changes design
The advantages extend beyond the active material
When an energy surface produces more power, occupies less area and performs additional functions, the entire system can be reconsidered.
Less land and structure
Energy when it is needed
Lower system complexity
Circular performance
Designed for a longer energy life span
A 40-year useful life, low annual degradation and near-total recyclability improve the environmental value of each unit of manufacturing input.
Greater output from a smaller footprint also changes the relationship between energy production, land use and the built environment.
Near-total recyclability
Five times the carbon credits
One-year energy payback
Apply the numbers
Measure the advantages against a real project
Bring the available area, energy requirement, operating conditions and incumbent technology. SolarPWRD can frame the comparison around the metrics that matter.
